To make this vision a reality, widespread collaboration is crucial. This will require a new strategic approach and commitment to delivery at a national level, informed by and in collaboration with the key actors of governments, business, and academia.
Engineers 2030 is a forum for the engineering community and many other groups and communities to look afresh at the essence of what it means to be engineers or technicians in the coming decades and how we attract and train them.
We welcome contributions from all parts of the engineering community and beyond into our project. Our hope is that educators, employers, professional bodies, practising engineers, technicians, and others will provide their insights to generate a common view on the way forward.
We are seeking input from:
- Educators across all phases of the education system
- Students in education and training
- Practising Engineers and Technicians
- The Engineering Profession
- Employers
- Training Providers
- Policy Makers across the four nations of the UK
