Decarbonising construction

Transformational change is needed if the construction industry is to achieve a low carbon-built environment and play its part in reaching the UK’s 2050 net zero target. A key question is what needs to be done now to accelerate the rate of transition of construction and our built environments to a zero-carbon industry to best serve the needs of the nation?  

This report from the National Engineering Policy Centre sets out over 20 recommendations across four missions to transform and decarbonise the construction sector, including recommendations for government, industry, regulators and the engineering profession.
